We love that La Costa carries real tournament pedigree yet still welcomes everyday players. Walking ground that hosted champions for decades, now reborn under Gil Hanse's hand and home to the NCAA finals, gives a round here a sense of occasion you just do not find everywhere.

About La Costa Omni Resort Golf Course
La Costa opened in 1965 with an 18-hole layout by renowned mid-century architect Dick Wilson, later expanded and reworked over the decades into 36 holes. The Champions Course (now the North Course) became one of golf's most recognizable stops, hosting the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions from 1969 into the late 1990s and, at the turn of the century, the WGC Match Play. The companion Legends layout (now the South Course) was reshaped by Pascuzzo & Pate and reopened in 2013. In 2023-2024, Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner completed a comprehensive redesign of the North Course, which reopened in June 2024. The renovated resort now serves as the home of the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Golf Championships, cementing a new chapter for a storied venue.
