Diadema Golf Club

Est. 2014
Why we love this place

We love Diadema for being exactly what it promises: a hidden gem in the Maine pines. Nine holes, ten greens, and an easygoing pace that makes it perfect for a quick loop or a full eighteen. A great stop on the road to Sugarloaf, with plenty of charm.

About Diadema Golf Club

Diadema Golf Club is a public nine-hole course on Route 16 in North Anson, roughly forty minutes south of Sugarloaf Mountain in central Maine's Somerset County. Golf directories list its opening as 2014, and the club describes itself as having grown from its beginnings about a decade ago into a hidden gem of the region. The layout is carved through the pine-filled woods of central Maine and comes with a distinctive twist: although it is a nine-hole course, it uses ten greens, so a full eighteen-hole round does not simply repeat the same nine. The course plays to a par of 36 and just under 3,000 yards from the back tees, making it approachable for newer players while still asking for careful shots through the trees. Its spot on the main road toward the western mountains also makes it a convenient stop for golfers heading up to the Carrabassett Valley.
