Forest Ridge Golf Club

Forest Ridge opened in 1989 as the Tulsa area's first upscale daily-fee club, designed by Tulsa-born architect Randy Heckenkemper and built as the centerpiece of the Forest Ridge master-planned community in Broken Arrow. The land carries its own story: it was once part of a cattle ranch owned by L.S. Robson, grandfather of developer Joe Robson, with the Robson family ranch historically stretching from Broken Arrow toward Catoosa. Heckenkemper routed a demanding par 72 that stretches past 7,000 yards from the tips, pairing bentgrass greens with Bermuda fairways and pushing the back-tee rating and slope into genuinely stout territory. Positioned as a public course offering private-club amenities and conditioning, Forest Ridge has long been a fixture of competitive golf in northeastern Oklahoma and later brought in Troon for management.
