The Gasparilla Inn & Club's course on Gasparilla Island traces to the resort's early-1900s roots, with the golf course opening for play around 1933. In the early 2000s the Inn commissioned Pete Dye (with Alice Dye) to rebuild it, reopening to acclaim in 2004, and it was restored again in October 2023 under architect Tripp Davis, preserving the strategic character of Dye's work.
