Glenwild Golf Club & Spa

Glenwild Golf Club and Spa opened in 2001 on a high meadow valley just north of Park City, and it remains Tom Fazio's only design in Utah. Given first choice of the land, Fazio routed all eighteen holes before a single homesite was plotted, letting him cluster the golf together and shape it around the terrain rather than around real estate. He set several holes along irrigation lakes, then linked those lakes with a network of streams and cascading waterfalls that double as the course's drainage and its scenery. Playing to a par of 71 and stretching past 7,400 yards on the card, Glenwild sits near 6,600 feet of elevation, so thin mountain air trims real distance while sweeping Wasatch Range vistas frame nearly every shot. For years it has topped Utah course rankings and set the standard by which the state's other clubs are measured.
