Gozzer Ranch Golf & Lake Club

Gozzer Ranch opened in 2007 on a broad, peninsula-shaped plateau high above Lake Coeur d'Alene in the Idaho panhandle. Developed by the Discovery Land Company as the golf heart of a private residential community, the Tom Fazio-designed course takes its name from a pioneer ranching family that once held vast tracts of land in the area. Fazio used the elevated site to full effect, routing holes along the rim of rocky bluffs with the lake visible on three sides and the surrounding forests and mountains framing nearly every shot. The result is a walk of constant long views punctuated by holes that perch dramatically at the edge of the plateau, looking down toward the water far below. As part of a Discovery Land property, Gozzer pairs its golf with a full slate of lake and outdoor amenities in a members-and-guests-only setting, and it has become one of the most admired mountain-lake courses in the American West.
