Greenhorn Creek opened in June 1996 in Angels Camp, in the Gold Country of the Sierra foothills. Don Boos laid out the original course, and Robert Trent Jones Jr. later redesigned it. The resort's own history describes Miwok sites on the property, and a stone wall from the mid-1800s still stands on the fourth hole.
