The Quarry At La Quinta

The Quarry at La Quinta opened in 1994 as a Tom Fazio design built on a roughly 370-acre former gravel pit at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains in the Coachella Valley. Fazio reshaped the industrial site into a dramatic desert layout, threading lakes, streams, and waterfalls through terrain that varies by some 300 feet in elevation. Roughly half the holes sit on the old quarry floor while others climb to raised plateaus, using the abandoned mine's rugged features as a design backdrop. From the outset the club was conceived as an exclusive private retreat, capping membership to preserve an unhurried, high-end experience. It has consistently ranked among the desert's and California's finest courses, admired for turning a scarred landscape into a celebrated golfing sanctuary.
