Why we love this place

Harrisville is a peaceful, walkable nine tucked into the Quiet Corner, with nearly a century of history and the care of a family golf company behind it. Play it once for a quick fix or twice for a full round, then linger for the countryside views.

About Harrisville Golf Course

Harrisville Golf Course is a public nine-hole course in Woodstock, in Connecticut's rural northeast corner. ForeTee's course history dates it to 1929 and credits its design to Aimee Salvas. The par-35 layout plays 2,814 yards from the blue tees and 2,435 from the reds, with bentgrass greens and ryegrass fairways, and golfers can play it twice for an 18-hole round. Walking is welcome. The course is now owned and operated by Tri State Golf Company, a fourth-generation family business that started in the 1940s with Raceway Golf Club in Thompson and also runs Melody Hill Golf Club in Harmony, Rhode Island. Under that ownership Harrisville offers online booking, leagues, lessons and outings, and its refurbished ninth hole has been among recent improvements to a course that has served Woodstock golfers for nearly a century.
