Oak Hills Park Golf Club

Est. 1969 · Alfred H. Tull
Why we love this place

Oak Hills is the muni every city should have: a classic Alfred Tull routing that weaves through grand old trees, a stern opening six that keeps you honest, and a friendly clubhouse crowd. Tucked between I-95 and the Merritt, it feels miles from traffic once you tee off.

About Oak Hills Park Golf Club

Oak Hills Park opened in 1969 as Norwalk's municipal golf course, laid out across 144 acres of rolling hills and woodland between Interstate 95 and the Merritt Parkway. It was one of the last courses designed by Alfred H. Tull, who had worked alongside Devereux Emmet and carried on the practice after Emmet's death. Tull routed the holes around the property's many stately trees, and the opening six holes, squeezed by mature hardwoods along tight fairways, set a demanding tone for the round. The City of Norwalk owns the land, while the Oak Hills Park Authority, a separate board, operates the facility, which also offers tennis courts, walking trails and a public restaurant. The par-71 course plays to 6,407 yards from the back tees and has received a series of improvements over the years while remaining a staple of public golf in lower Fairfield County.
