Red Hook Golf Club

Est. 1931 · Alfred H. Tull (1967)
Why we love this place

We love Red Hook for its Hudson Valley ease. A 1931 nine grown into a full eighteen, with a lake in the third fairway and a closing tee shot over a hollow that settles bets. Semi-private polish, public welcome, and Rhinebeck just down the road.

About Red Hook Golf Club

Red Hook Golf Club was founded in 1931 as a nine-hole course in northern Dutchess County, a few minutes from historic Rhinebeck. GolfPass credits the layout to architect Alfred H. Tull, dated 1967, and the club's own directory description says the course was expanded to 18 holes in the mid-1990s, when a new pro shop and locker room were also built. The holes suit a wide range of games: room for long hitters, strategically bunkered greens, and water most memorably on the par-5 third, where a lake sits in the fairway. The home hole is a stout par 4 that asks for a tee shot over a deep hollow. The semi-private club still welcomes public play and continues to refine its holes.
