About Heritage Club

The Heritage Club opened in 1986 as a collaboration between developer Larry Young and architect Dan Maples, helping establish Pawleys Island and the South Strand as a golf destination. Set on more than 600 acres along the Waccamaw River amid giant magnolias, centuries-old oaks, lakes and marshes, the par-71 Lowcountry layout has ranked among Golf Digest's 50 Best Public Courses in America, as high as No. 33.
