The North Course at the ultra-private John's Island Club in Vero Beach opened in 1973 as the club's second 18, designed by Pete Dye with Perry Dye. John's Island, developed by Llwyd Ecclestone beginning in 1969, was the first Florida club to offer two 18-hole courses. The North Course was later renovated by Craig Schreiner in 2003.
