Lenape Heights opened in 1967 as an 18-hole course designed by Ferdinand Garbin. In 2007 it was bought by the owners of KPM Herkules, a sheet metal machinery maker in Ford City, who soon remodeled the clubhouse, restaurant and pro shop. A 20-room boutique hotel overlooking the course followed after about two years of construction, with its opening celebrated in March 2014.
