Marquette Golf Club Greywalls

Greywalls is the second eighteen at Marquette Golf Club in Marquette, Michigan, opening in 2005 as a bold complement to the club's 1926 Heritage course. Designed by Michigan architect Mike DeVries, it was routed across a rugged hillside above the town, weaving among sheer rock outcroppings and offering long views over Lake Superior. The name nods to the many granite and limestone walls the holes climb over, tumble down and squeeze between. Playing to a par of 71 at roughly 6,828 yards with a slope of 147, Greywalls trades sheer length for wild, natural terrain and demanding, imaginative shotmaking. Its debut drew national attention, earning placement on top-ten best-new-course lists across the major golf magazines. Today it is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive and dramatic public courses in the Midwest.
