The Members Club at St. James Plantation opened in 1996 as an 18-hole Hale Irwin design, the first of several courses in the St. James Plantation community near Southport, NC. In 2001 a third nine designed by Tim Cate was added, giving the facility a 27-hole configuration. It is a private club within the gated St. James Plantation community, distinct from the separate Players Club and Founders Club.
