Mill Valley's nine-hole course was declared playable on November 1, 1919, in Warner Canyon after a group of local men organized a club for the hillside site. The club never reached its membership goal, and after the Depression the remaining members offered the land to the city for $25,000. The City of Mill Valley has owned the course since January 1939. It is a par-33 nine set among hills, creeks and mature redwoods.
