Nippo Lake Golf Club

Est. 1964
Why we love this place

Nippo Lake is the kind of club that grew up with its town: nine holes in 1964, eighteen by 2001, with Blue Hills views along the way. It's short on paper but plenty demanding, and that friendly, everybody-knows-everybody feel makes it an easy course to love.

About Nippo Lake Golf Club

Nippo Lake Golf Club opened for play in 1964 in Barrington, in the rolling country of Strafford County. For most of its first four decades it was a nine-hole course, and the club grew steadily before adding a back nine in August 2001 to become a full 18-hole layout. The finished course is a short par 70 that overlooks the Blue Hills Range, and reviewers often call it difficult yet friendly, a course that asks for accuracy more than length. Over the years the club has also become a local gathering place, with a pro shop, driving range, putting green, teaching professional and an on-site restaurant serving golfers and neighbors alike. It remains open to the public, with memberships and daily tee times available through a season that typically runs from April into November.
