Oak Tree Country Club

Oak Tree Country Club is the 36-hole private half of Edmond's storied Oak Tree golf enclave, laid out by Pete Dye, with Alice Dye, just across Kelly Road from the celebrated Oak Tree National. The West course opened in 1978, followed by the more demanding East in 1982, giving members two Dye designs and the Oklahoma City metro's only 36-hole private club. Both tracks carry Dye's trademarks, angular bunkering, water in play, and greens that reward precise, thoughtful golf, though they play a touch friendlier than their tournament-hardened neighbor. That neighbor, Oak Tree National, is the Pete Dye solo design that hosted the 1984 U.S. Amateur, the 1988 PGA Championship won by Jeff Sluman, and the 2014 U.S. Senior Open, cementing the entire Oak Tree name among America's great modern golf destinations.
