Otter Creek Golf Course

Otter Creek Golf Course opened in 1964 in Columbus, Indiana, a town famous for its modernist architecture. The original eighteen holes were designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and funded by Cummins and its longtime leader J. Irwin Miller, who then donated the course to the city so the public could enjoy championship-caliber golf. The layout spreads across hilly, wooded terrain, with Clifty and Otter creeks weaving through the property as natural hazards, and even the clubhouse reflects the town's design heritage. A third nine, designed by Rees Jones, was added in 1995. Otter Creek quickly became one of Indiana's premier championship venues; it hosted the Indiana State Amateur for many years and staged the 1991 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship on its original Robert Trent Jones Sr. eighteen.
