Palm-Aire in Pompano Beach traces to 1959, when The Palms course was founded (designed by William Mitchell), with a lodge opening in 1962. A resort hotel and spa followed in 1971, along with the Oaks (1971) and Cypress (1972) courses designed by Tom and George Fazio. The multi-course facility has hosted the Dixie Amateur, Florida Open and South Florida Classic.
