About Persimmon Woods Golf Club
Persimmon Woods Golf Club sits on roughly 192 rolling acres in Weldon Spring, in St. Charles County just west of St. Louis. The private, 18-hole layout was designed by architect Keith Foster and opened for play in June 1998. The routing plays to a par of 71 at about 6,900 yards from the tips, opening with a front nine that carries a links-style, open feel before the finishing holes turn parklike through mature woods and gentle hills. The club has earned a reputation as a genuine championship test, hosting the Missouri State Amateur, the PGA National Professional Championship regional, and both men's and women's U.S. Open qualifying. It also prides itself on being eminently walkable, with a notable share of rounds played on foot rather than by cart.
