Shepherd's Crook opened in August 1999 and is owned and operated by the Zion Park District. Keith Foster designed it in the style of 1920s and 1930s golf architecture on about 140 acres of former farmland, and took his crew to nearby Shoreacres to study Seth Raynor's bunkers before building it.
