Why we love this place

Pine Valley Golf Links is a family-built nine that Pelham cared enough about to help protect, preserving open space while keeping golf alive. It's an unpretentious neighborhood course, the kind every town deserves and too few manage to save.

About Pine Valley Golf Links

Pine Valley Golf Links in Pelham was created in 1961 by the Madden family, who ran it as a family golf business for more than half a century. The nine-hole course sits off Old Gage Hill Road, and it shares its famous name with the New Jersey club only by coincidence. In 2016 the town of Pelham agreed to buy about 71 acres of the property for $750,000 from its conservation bond fund, protecting the land from a housing subdivision that had previously been approved. Under the deal, roughly 40 acres stayed in golf as a private business for ten years, while about 30 wooded acres were set aside as open space and town forest with hiking trails. Booking listings show the par-35 nine still taking tee times, and golfers can play it twice for an 18-hole round.
