About The Rock Golf Club & Resort

The Rock Golf Club & Resort (formerly The Rock at Jocassee) in Pickens is a Russell Breeden design that opened around 1979-1980 in the foothills near Lake Jocassee. Its signature par-3 8th, played across a waterfall-fed creek, is among the most photographed holes in South Carolina. In May 2017, Tommy Biershenk and Anthony Anders bought the property and reinvested in it with TifEagle Bermuda greens and irrigation, bunker and clubhouse improvements. It operates as a public stay-and-play resort.
