Rockingham Country Club

Why we love this place

Rockingham is pure Seacoast simplicity: nine holes, par 35, and more than ninety years of Newmarket golfers squeezing in a loop before dinner. No pretense, no fuss, just an honest, affordable course that keeps the game close to home.

About Rockingham Country Club

Rockingham Country Club has offered golf on Exeter Road in Newmarket since 1933, making it one of the longer-running public courses on New Hampshire's Seacoast. It is a nine-hole, par-35 course of roughly 2,875 yards, a scale that suits newcomers, families and golfers looking for a quick round before or after work, and players can loop the nine twice for a full 18. Through more than nine decades the club has stayed a straightforward, affordable place to play rather than a destination resort, and it has carried the Rockingham name, shared with the county that surrounds Newmarket, the entire time. Today the course continues to operate as a public nine-hole facility, welcoming daily players through the New Hampshire golf season.
