Southern Highlands Golf Club

Southern Highlands Golf Club, in the hills south of the Las Vegas Strip, opened in 2000 as a rare collaboration between Robert Trent Jones Sr. and his son Robert Trent Jones Jr. It carries special weight as the elder Jones's final design before his death, making it a capstone in one of golf architecture's most influential careers. The private, par-72 layout plays over 7,500 yards from the back and blends tumbling elevation, mature landscaping, streams and white sand into a lush, almost parkland feel unusual for the Mojave. The course has hosted college championship golf and serves as a home venue for UNLV's program. Manicured conditioning, generous scale and a sense of seclusion give members a resort-quality experience minutes from the city.
