About Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Grand National - Links Course

The Links is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Grand National, a 54-hole complex in Opelika that opened in August 1992 as the fourth site on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, developed by the Retirement Systems of Alabama. GolfPass credits Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Roger Rulewich with the design. The complex surrounds Lake Saugahatchee, a reservoir that supplies drinking water for Opelika and Lee County. The course has since been renovated with new tees, bunkers and TifEagle ultradwarf greens.
