About Springdale Country Club
Springdale was founded by Fred Tingle, a Manhattan executive who bought Springdale Farm in Canton in 1968 and opened a nine-hole mountain course that year, adding a second nine in 1972. Sitting beneath Cold Mountain near the Pisgah National Forest, it operates as a stay-and-play resort with on-site lodging and a short course. In 2018 it was sold to Springdale Golf Partners, LLC, which brought new management and renovations.
