The Oaks Course was originally designed by Joe Lee and Robert von Hagge and opened in 1975, and was significantly redesigned by Jay Morrish & Associates in 1999. It is one of two 18-hole courses at The Golf Trails of The Woodlands, a public resort facility associated with The Woodlands development. (The Woodlands Country Club's private West Course is the renamed successor to this Oaks layout.)
