The Overlook Golf Club

Est. 1990 · David Friel
Why we love this place

The Overlook is a polished, traditional 18 along the Nashua River, with pine-lined fairways, wetlands and well-placed bunkers that make you think on every tee. It delivers that private-club feel without the gate, which is exactly why we like it.

About The Overlook Golf Club

The Overlook Golf Club opened in 1990 in Hollis, a town just west of Nashua. The 18-hole championship course was designed by David Friel and laid out along the Nashua River, using natural wetlands, sculpted bunkers and pine-lined fairways to frame its holes. The club describes it as a traditionally designed championship golf course, and it was built with the look and feel of a private club, yet it has always been open to the public, offering daily tee times alongside memberships and leagues. More than three decades after opening, the Overlook remains one of the full-length public courses in the Nashua area, with its river setting and wetlands shaping the strategy on many holes.
