About The Pete Dye Course
The Pete Dye Course opened in 2009, built by the celebrated architect atop Mount Airie, one of Indiana's highest points, after the Cook family's investment revived the historic French Lick Resort. Dye reportedly doubted a course could be built on the rugged, steeply sloped site, and construction ultimately required moving millions of cubic yards of earth. The finished layout stretches beyond 8,000 yards from the tips and delivers roughly 40-mile panoramic views, three man-made lakes and Dye's signature volcano-style bunkering and severe movement. Widely praised on debut, it earned national best-new-course honors and quickly drew championship golf: it hosted the 2015 Senior PGA Championship and became the home of the Senior LPGA Championship beginning in 2017, cementing its reputation as one of the Midwest's most dramatic and demanding tests.
