About The Plantation At Ponte Vedra
The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is a private club community anchored by an 18-hole course that opened in 1987 to a design by Arnold Palmer and his longtime partner Ed Seay. Set among the coastal wetlands and residential streets of Ponte Vedra Beach, the layout leans on Florida's natural water and sand: holes wind past numerous lakes and are guarded by dozens of strategically placed bunkers, with water in play across much of the round. Bermuda fairways and greens define the playing surfaces, and the back tees give stronger players a stern test. Beyond golf, the gated community offers the amenities of a full country-club lifestyle. It sits within the same celebrated stretch of northeast Florida golf coast as TPC Sawgrass and the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, a region long regarded as one of the sport's most concentrated destinations.
