About Aviara Golf Club
Aviara Golf Club opened in 1991 as an Arnold Palmer signature design, shaped by Palmer with longtime associate Ed Seay. Set in the coastal hills of Carlsbad above the Batiquitos Lagoon nature preserve, the par-72 layout weaves around rolling terrain, native wildflowers, waterfalls, and generous bunkering, playing to roughly 7,000 yards. Its lush conditioning and ocean-influenced setting have earned recognition from major golf publications as one of the country's finest resort courses. Aviara served as the LPGA Tour's Southern California stop for more than a decade, hosting the Kia Classic and later the JTBC Classic through 2022. The course anchors the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, a five-star property that reopened in 2020 following an extensive renovation of the hotel and grounds.
