The Virtues Golf Club

The Virtues Golf Club rolls across rugged, heavily wooded countryside near Nashport in central Ohio, a parkland-style par 72 that architect Arthur Hills routed to follow the land's natural ridges and valleys while sparing as many trees as possible. Opened in 1999 as the Longaberger Golf Club, it was developed by the well-known Ohio basket-making company and drew immediate acclaim, taking Golf Digest's Best New Upscale Public Course honors. Stretching past 7,200 yards from the championship tees with five sets of markers, the course tests players with uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies across its bentgrass surfaces, backed by an expansive practice facility. After the Longaberger company's decline, new owners acquired the property in 2013 and renamed it The Virtues, and it remains one of Ohio's most highly regarded public courses.
