About Turner Hill Golf Club

Turner Hill occupies the former Proctor estate in Ipswich, a mansion and grounds built between 1898 and 1903 for Charles Goodnough Rice and Ann Proctor Rice to a design by Boston architect William Rantoul; the estate is on the National Register of Historic Places and the mansion now serves as the clubhouse. The golf course was laid out by architects Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry and opened in 2004 as the centerpiece of a residential development. It is known for an unusual short par-3 finishing hole played across water to a two-tier green.
