Twin Hills Country Club

Est. 1971
Why we love this place

We love Twin Hills because you can feel the hands that built it. Sixteen years of family sweat turned Coventry's rocky hills into an 18-hole course with stone walls, a covered bridge and a postcard stone bridge on the 3rd. It's homegrown golf at its finest, still run by the family.

About Twin Hills Country Club

Twin Hills Country Club was a labor of love long before it was a finished golf course. Family and friends spent roughly sixteen years building it by hand on the hills along Bread and Milk Street in Coventry, digging out rocks, planting grass and installing irrigation themselves, and the course finally opened in 1971. Spread across about 130 acres of rolling terrain, the 18-hole layout is threaded with old stone walls and features a covered bridge, while a stone bridge frames the third hole. Twin Hills has remained a family-owned and family-operated club, run by the McDermott family, who in 1995 also bought nearby Tallwood Country Club in Hebron. Open to public play, the club recently added a new driving range, and it continues to serve eastern Connecticut golfers with an unpretentious, homegrown course that still reflects the many hands that built it, one rock and one patch of grass at a time.
