Whitehawk Ranch opened in 1996 in the Mohawk Valley of Plumas County, about an hour from Reno and Lake Tahoe. The course sits on roughly 1,000 acres of former cattle ranch. Dick Bailey routed the holes in and out of dense pine forest and across open meadow, and the course is known as a remote, player-friendly mountain layout.
