About Wild Wing Golf Course - Avocet
Wild Wing Plantation was once a 72-hole complex of four courses (Hummingbird, Woodstork, Falcon and Avocet). Falcon and Woodstork closed for redevelopment and Hummingbird was cut to nine holes; what remains is the 1993 Avocet, designed by Larry Nelson and Jeff Brauer. It reopened on September 19, 2026 after a renovation with new greens and rebuilt bunkers.
