Winstar Golf Course

WinStar Golf Course sits beside the sprawling WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, just north of the Texas border, making it a convenient stop for golfers driving up from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The original eighteen holes, designed by five-time PGA Tour winner D.A. Weibring with Wolfard Golf Design, opened in 2006. The resort later expanded the property, adding two more nines along with an indoor teaching center, a larger clubhouse and expanded practice facilities. In 2017 the layout was reorganized into two distinct eighteen-hole courses, named Scissortail and Redbud after Oklahoma emblems. The Scissortail plays from roughly 4,800 to nearly 7,200 yards over Tifsport fairways and MiniVerde Bermuda greens, while the Redbud underwent a full renovation completed in 2026 with rebuilt tees, Tahoma 31 fairways and TifEagle greens.
