Why we love this place
This is golf's memory made walkable. We love teeing it up in the shadow of the Hall of Fame, where a Bobby Weed layout honors Snead and Sarazen and the King and the Bear finally built something together. It's a pilgrimage as much as a round, and we cherish that.

About World Golf Village
World Golf Village grew up around the World Golf Hall of Fame, which opened in 1998 as a shared home for the sport's honored champions near St. Augustine. Its two courses double as tributes to Hall of Fame members. The Slammer & Squire, opened in 1998, was crafted by architect Bobby Weed in consultation with Sam Snead ("the Slammer") and Gene Sarazen ("the Squire"), and plays to a par of 72 across roughly 6,900 yards. The King & Bear followed in 2000 as the only course jointly designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, stretching beyond 7,200 yards and celebrating a long friendship rather than a rivalry; it underwent a restoration in 2024. Together they anchor a destination steeped in the game's history.
