Wuskowhan Players Club

Wuskowhan Players Club is a private course in West Olive, Michigan, near the Lake Michigan shoreline between Holland and Grand Haven. It opened in 1996 and was designed by Rick Smith and Warren Henderson, the same team later associated with the acclaimed Arcadia Bluffs. The name derives from a Narragansett word for "wanderer," a reference to the now-extinct passenger pigeon that once nested throughout the region. Wuskowhan was the first course in Michigan designated an Audubon Signature Sanctuary, reflecting a design that preserved or restored the site's natural vegetation and wetlands. The layout plays from five sets of tees stretching from about 5,000 to 7,000 yards across rolling, wooded terrain. Its combination of environmental stewardship, seclusion and strong shot values has made it one of West Michigan's most respected private clubs.
