About Turning Stone Casino Resort
Owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation in central New York, Turning Stone grew from a casino into one of the Northeast's most decorated golf destinations, anchored by three championship layouts. Shenendoah, a wooded parkland design by Rick Smith, debuted in 2000 as the resort's first course. Robert Trent Jones Jr. followed with Kaluhyat in 2003, its name meaning roughly 'the other side of the sky' in Oneida. The crown jewel is Tom Fazio's Atunyote, established in 2004 and named for the Oneida word for eagle. Atunyote hosted a PGA Tour event, the Turning Stone Resort Championship, from 2007 through 2010, and has since collected national accolades for public and resort golf. Together the trio delivers remarkable variety across parkland and manicured championship terrain.
