About Wynn Golf Course

Wynn Golf Club sits on the ground of the old Desert Inn course, which opened in the early 1950s on the Strip and hosted the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions from 1953 to 1966, with Sinatra and Dean Martin among its regulars. After the Desert Inn closed in 2000, Steve Wynn bought the property and had Tom Fazio build a new course that opened in 2005. It closed in late 2017 for a planned water park, but new ownership dropped that plan; Tom and Logan Fazio regraded the land and reopened it as a par 70 on October 11, 2019. It is a resort course, open to public play.
