The site in West Palm Beach was originally the President Country Club, which opened in 1969 and later fell into financial trouble. Jack Nicklaus broke ground on a full redesign in December 2016, and the new Jack Nicklaus Design course opened in 2017 as Banyan Cay Resort & Golf -- distinguished as the 300th course worldwide to feature Nicklaus design work. After further ownership turmoil, control passed to Calmwater Capital and the course reopened under the new name Dutchman's Pipe in November 2024.
