Set in a narrow mountain valley within the Beaver Creek resort near Avon and Edwards, Colorado, this Robert Trent Jones Jr. design opened in 1982. The routing threads along the valley floor, following the course of Beaver Creek itself, with tight tree-lined corridors of aspen and evergreen framing nearly every fairway. Rather than sprawling across the terrain, the layout squeezes through the valley's contours, prizing accuracy over raw length; at roughly 6,600 yards it plays to a par of 70. Thin mountain air adds carry, while the stream, forest, and dramatic ski-country backdrop lend the round a distinctly alpine character. Elevation changes, mountain water hazards, and mature stands of timber reward disciplined shot-shaping. The course serves as a centerpiece amenity of the upscale Beaver Creek community and is regularly cited among Colorado's most scenic resort tracks.
