About Black Forest & Wilderness Valley

The Black Forest course at Wilderness Valley Resort in Gaylord was designed by Tom Doak, an early work often described as his second design and the first to show his minimalist approach. Built in 1991 and opened in 1992, the public resort course has more than 100 bunkers and is a sister course to the Al Watrous-designed Wilderness Valley layout.
