CommonGround Golf Course

CommonGround sits on land that was once the Lowry Air Force Base golf course; after the base closed in the mid-1990s it became Mira Vista Golf Course. The Colorado Golf Association, with the Colorado Women's Golf Association, spent roughly $4 million saved from handicap fees to have Tom Doak's team fully redesign all 18 holes as an affordable public course, which opened in 2009. Savings funded a junior par-3 course and the Solich Caddie & Leadership Academy, and the course hosted qualifying for the 2012 U.S. Amateur and 2019 U.S. Senior Open. It is owned by the CGA.
