About Streamsong Resort - Blue Course

Streamsong rose from an unlikely canvas: acreage in central Florida once strip-mined for phosphate by The Mosaic Company. Rather than flatten the sand spoils left behind, the resort embraced the rugged, dune-like terrain, opening two courses and a clubhouse in December 2012. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw shaped the Red, while Tom Doak drew the Blue; the trio collaborated on the original 36-hole routing, with Doak selecting his eighteen first. The colored ink on early drawings, red for Coore and Crenshaw and blue for Doak, gave the courses their names. Sand piles rise as high as 75 feet, and the Red generally rings the property's perimeter while the Blue winds through the interior. Both champion minimalism, firm turf, and walking golf on a landscape that feels far more Sandhills than Sunshine State.
