Conway Farms Golf Club

Conway Farms traces its roots to three Lake Forest families who, back in 1956, bought a farm straddling old Conway Road with the long-term dream of building a first-rank golf club, a name and vision that finally came to fruition decades later. The Tom Fazio-designed course opened for play on August 3, 1991, spread across roughly 209 acres and shaped around Scottish links ideals, with Fazio citing inspiration from the Old Course at St. Andrews and Shinnecock Hills. In 1992 Golf Digest named it among the top new private courses in the country. Conway Farms went on to build a strong championship resume, hosting amateur events beginning in the late 1990s and serving as a venue for the PGA Tour's BMW Championship, a FedEx Cup playoff event, in 2013, 2015, and 2017. In 2023 the course underwent a comprehensive tee-to-green renovation by Tim Jackson and David Kahn.
